Eemax offers both EE and EFD models factory set at 90 o F with a max temp of 100 o F. These products offer a quick and easy way to provide a Tepid Water Solution that meets ANSI Z358.1.
Unfortunately, at Eemax we have shipped many an EE or EFD optioned heater, only to find that a contractor installed a 1071 mixing valve to appease a local code official. The 100 o F max of our EE/EFD won’t allow enough temperature delta to mix down to most tepid water temperatures.
How can you provide engineers with an Eemax solution? Offer a standard model (without EE/EFD options), set at 100 o – 140 o F, and sell an ASSE-1071 mixing valve for eyewash/drench and supply… THEN, add a hose reel for washdown, a mop sink, and a remote bathroom with showers.
