Every year on October 15th, Eemax celebrates Global Handwashing Day. Hand hygiene, especially washing with soap, is an effective way of preventing the spread diseases in order to save lives. The Global Handwashing Partnership (GHP) works to to promote handwashing with soap and recognize hygiene as a pillar of international development and public health.
As a provider of products for handwashing, Eemax recognizes the importance of hand hygiene. Our water heating products are now installed in homes, offices, schools, medical facilities and restaurants to deliver comfortable and safe water for handwashing. Eemax mini-tank and tankless units deliver hot water on-demand by installing the heater close to the fixture to eliminate the long pipe run.
Eemax® Celebrated Global Handwashing Day by Bringing More Opportunities for Safe, Comfortable Handwashing to Waterbury Public Schools
Eemax celebrated Global Handwashing Day on October 15, 2020, with a presentation held in conjunction with the City of Waterbury Mayor’s Office and Waterbury Public School District. Supported by the Rheem Heart of Comfort program, Eemax donated 10 new Handwashing Portable Stations to the school district. These handwashing stations provide students with additional access to safe and effective handwashing and have helped several schools to meet the criteria for reopening. The event was held at Sprague Elementary School with Superintendent of Waterbury Public Schools, Dr. Verna D. Ruffin, and Vice President & General Manager, Eemax, Jens Bolleyer sharing the importance of handwashing to student health and hygiene. Eemax was presented with a City of Waterbury Official Proclamation by Mayor Neil M. O’Leary thanking Eemax for its “generosity and investment in the health of our youngest residents.”
